Access to the Collection is from the A1 near Bedford at Biggleswade.
The venue has 5 hangers is linked to the Swiss Garden and bird of prey centre and is a short walk to the RSPB reserve.
Their home-based collection includes some of the oldest, one of a kind aircraft that fly at shows.
They actually fly and they put on stunning displays with a range of visiting aircraft.
They have evening displays and day ones. They have a range of German aircraft that display and have a big naval show in June and a military pageant as well as others.
Every year the collection holds 5 evening displays as well as 5 main ones. I strongly recommend the evening ones, they are a family trip and as much fun. But go to a few day ones as well.
They have beside the grass runway parking. We like to take a picnic and I sit on the car roof. There is also a canteen, and stands. I normally go to a fair few with big air show themes .I hope to review a few of the shows later in the year.
There is also a Barnstorming team, They burst balloons, fly under poles, pickup ribbons and more. A great day out. The team consists of a Miles Magister, a Miles Hawk trainer, a Chipmunk and a Tiger Moth.

The chipmunk does a spectacular ribbon pick up as well as a solo display
The Seafire – a visitor from Kent aviation.
They even have a beauiful Provost and their Wren is amazing!
This is an example of aircraft limbo. They also burst balloons in the air and do flower pot bombing!

Westland Lysander ~ Evening delight…………………
Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden has a warm and friendly atmosphere, see you there!!!!!!
Cheers ~ From Henry.
PS: Can anyone name all the aircraft correctly?

Henry,
What a great collection of photos. I have watched and commentated on many of these over the years at shows. Shuttleworth is always a good day out, even when wet the sun seems to shine.
If ever I am commentating at a show where you happen to be, please do come along and say hello. Read the Poem ‘High Flight’ it sums up flight perfectly.

To all, thank you for commenting.
Check for more reviews by me e.g. Duxford and the Shuttleworth spring air show review.
And to Stratton Richey are you at the Shuttleworth spring air show??????????
