Have some Madeira, M’dear!

Yes, had some of that some time ago. What a difference a couple of decades and a few Euro subsidies makes to a delightful little airport bobbing about on the Atlantic. As any charter pilot familiar with the island will tell you, winds from the North make this a treacherous place to visit with severe turbulence on final likely. Not a place to undershoot or slide off the side of… but an interesting and educational visit for those who go there.
TAP fly into the place at night, or at least they used to. I guess they probably still do?  Gusto!
